Francene Rouelle is a singer-songwriter based in Austin, Texas. At only 23, Francene is set to release her debut album off the carousel on August 1st. The album at its core is about relationships and the cycles you go through within them. Inspired by artists like Sabrina Carpenter, Camilla Cabello, NIKI, and many more, the album is very versatile. Some songs are on the sad side of things while others are more upbeat, giving you a great mix of emotions. Even Francene herself says it feels "deeply personal" to her.

"all the things id do" was released this morning on Friday, May 30th. This song is upbeat, but expresses the desire of someone and the extreme lengths someone will go through just to be near them or be in love with them. It also emphasizes the feeling of being someone's second best and questioning if any of it is even worth the struggle and pain of desire and longing. This song is perfect for any vulnerable person who enjoys pop songs and expressing their feelings. It is now currently out on streaming everywhere!

Sonically, songs have a soft lofi type of beat. It reminds me of early Conan Gray music or something I'd hear on "The Summer I Turned Pretty". Though this album is in my opinion perfect for summer, it truly is one you can listen to at any point as the vibe is very expensive and lines up with many different moods. Francene makes music to connect to people, she describes herself as a deeply thoughtful person who has always had to deal with her trauma by herself. Her music makes me feel deeply supported, I'm sure it will do the same for you: she wants to make music her full time career, to make that happen be sure to listen to her debut album off the carousel, August 1st.

Exclusive Interview with Francene Rouelle

What is your goal?

My ultimate goal as an artist is to make music my full-time career. Whether it's performing on festival stages, embarking on stadium tours, or spending countless hours in the studio, I want to fully immerse myself in every aspect of creating and sharing music. Beyond personal success, I aspire to inspire a wide audience through my songwriting, connecting deeply with listeners and touching lives on a global scale.

Why do you make music?

I make music to heal. As a deeply thoughtful and introspective person, I use my music to process and articulate my view of life. I've faced many struggles and have often had to navigate and make sense of my experiences and trauma on my own. Music has always been my guiding light in those moments. For me, creating art and finding beauty in struggle is profoundly healing, and I hope my music can serve as that same light for others, helping them find solace and understanding in their own journeys.

What artists inspire you?

I draw inspiration from a collection of artists who have a unique way of articulating their thoughts and emotions through music. I deeply admire how they craft their words and tell stories that resonate on such a personal level. Some of my favorite artists include NIKI, Maisie Peters, Rosie, Sadie Jean, Camila Cabello, and Sabrina Carpenter. Each of them has their own distinct style and vulnerability, and they inspire me to push the boundaries of my own songwriting

What is your creative process?

My creative process is hard to pin down because it's so intuitive. I like to follow the sparks of inspiration as they come, which can often be sparked by the most mundane things—a passing moment, a stray thought, or a simple observation. What I truly love is the challenge of creating my own metaphors to explain complex emotions or situations that feel hard to articulate. For me, it's all about transforming the intangible into something relatable and meaningful through my music.
