Noah Kahan’s Largest Headline Show
By Bethany M

On Friday the 4th of July, Noah Kahan sold out the British Summer Time (BST) Hyde Park music festival at Hyde Park in the center of London. The festival included an amazing lineup with artists like Finneas, Gracie Abrams, Gigi Perez, Paris Paloma, Sydney Rose, and way more.
To start off the amazing afternoon, we went to the great oak stage to watch Gigi (Gianna) Perez. Gigi is known for her hit songs "Fable," and "Sailor Song." Gigi has an amazing discography of slower and deeper emotional songs. It was beautiful to see everyone swaying their hands and vibing along to her beautiful music.

Next was Finneas. I have been wanting to see Finneas for around a year now, because of his incredible music. He mostly sang songs from his most recent album "For Cryin' Out Loud!" Around half way through the set, he surprisingly brought out the singer-songwriter Ashe. Ashe and Finneas have recently started a band, The Favors, and released their first single "The Little Mess You Made," in early June. They started off singing that song and then started singing "The Hudson" which releases on July 11th. To conclude The Favors portion of the set, they sang "Til Forever Falls Apart," which they co collaborated on Ashe's album Ashlyn in 2021.

Gracie Abrams was the next act on the main stage. She opened with her song "Risk" , the lead single from The Secret of Us. Followed by the songs "Blowing Smoke," "21," and "I Told You Things." Next she surprisingly brought out Aaron Dessner for the live debut of her new song "Crazy Girl." It was such an amazing song especially live. She then continued playing with Aaron for "I Love You, I'm Sorry," and "Where Do We Go Now?" After Aaron left she continued with "Let it Happen," and her other recent song "Death Wish." Then she followed with her hits "I Miss You, I'm Sorry," "Free Now," "That's so True," and "Close to You."

Noah's set started right before 9pm with his song "All My Love." Followed by "New Perspective," and "Everywhere, Everything," with Gracie Abrams. Noah's stage presence is so amazing. It feels like a small intimate show, where he is your best friend. He is funny and charming, and you can really see his true personality throughout the show. Everything from the band's outfits, the visuals, and the giant oak tree contributed to the aesthetics of the albums. He then continued with "She Calls Me Back," "False Confidence," "Orange Juice," the unreleased song "Deny Deny Deny," then concluded the act with "Homesick.

As he finished "Homesick," he walked through the crowd to the B stage located at the front of the general admission section. At the B stage he sang "Pain is Cold Water," "Maine," and the fan requested the song "Strawberry Wine." He was so close to where I was it was crazy.
Back at the main stage he began with "Dial Drunk," the unreleased song "The Great Divide," "You're Gonna Go Far," then brought back Gigi Perez for "Call Your Mom," and then he sang "The View Between Villages." This section was so emotional and I genuinely started crying. To close out the best night of my life, he sang "Forever," then he brought out Lewis Capaldi for "Northern Attitude." To finish the concert there was a grand firework show during "Stick Season." If anyone has the opportunity to see Noah Kahan once in their life, go. Noah is a great person, lyricist, singer, and performer. This concert was genuinely life changing.
